Purpose To find, explore, survey, and inventory the caves and karst features in Government Canyon State Natural Area. Eighty-six caves have been found to date. Most are small, but the beautiful terrain and the reasonable potential for something large keep cavers coming each trip. The longest cave is 366.6 meters long and the deepest is 32.4 meters deep. This is a good training environment and everyone interested is welcome. The Project is sponsored by the TSA and Texas Speleological Survey. Detailed reports of all trips are filed in the TSS library.
