This Project has been completed

Each Fall for 14 years the Caverns of Sonora has sponsored a weekend Restoration Project to excavate and remove material which was left in the cave during it's development as a commercial cave in the early 1960s. In the November of 2005 the bulk of this project was completed.

Directions to Caverns of Sonora

To get to Caverns of Sonora, take I-10 8 miles west from the town of Sonora to Exit 392 and follow the signs south for 7 more miles. Speeders beware! The Interstate is closely patrolled for 10 miles east and west of the town of Sonora (mile markers 390-410).
